...Flash Fiction, Poetry, and Prose Poetry
Dean dabbles in writing flash fiction, poetry, and prose poetry, his stories sometimes harboring hints of his chemistry...
Walk the Line, published in State of Matter, August 19, 2024.
Death by Entropy, published in 365 tomorrows, April 10, 2024.
My Hive Mind, published in AcademFic, July 14, 2023.
Severed, published in Microfiction Monday Magazine, August 22, 2022.
Baby Talk, published in Sci-Fi Shorts, June 2, 2022.
Godhuli, published in Abyss & Apex, January 1, 2022.
Breathless, published in Friday Flash Fiction, October 22, 2021.
Cadence, published in 365 tomorrows, January 30, 2020.
Bifurcation, published in Flash Fiction Magazine, May 26, 2017.
Most of these pieces fall under the umbrella of science fiction. Science fiction has a long history of postulating plausible futures as a way to examine ideas about humanity free from the constraints of our current time and place. In doing so, science fiction invites discussions about our past, present, and possible futures. Dean's aspirational goal is to spark some such discussions.
